PRUMPLUM recently had the incredible opportunity to join forces with the Umaji Village Agriculture Cooperative at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2025, one of the largest food and beverage trade shows in Southeast Asia. Together, we proudly introduced Umaji Yuzushu, a premium yuzu liqueur, to Thai customers and international visitors—and the response was overwhelming. Within just a few hours of the exhibition opening, every bottle of Umaji Yuzushu was sold out.

Our booth became a buzzing hotspot, attracting curious foodies, industry professionals, and sake enthusiasts eager to taste something truly unique. Many were surprised to discover the delicate balance of tartness and sweetness in Umaji Yuzushu, crafted from high-quality yuzu grown in one of Japan’s most pristine regions. It was an exciting reminder of how global palates continue to grow more adventurous—and how a great product can speak for itself.

Discover Umaji Village – A Hidden Gem of Japan

Nestled in the lush mountains of Kochi Prefecture on Shikoku Island, Umaji Village is a small but remarkable place known for its exceptional yuzu. With a population of fewer than 1,000 people, this village has transformed its agricultural strengths into a sustainable and inspiring local economy.

The Umaji Village Agriculture Cooperative is at the heart of this transformation. It supports local farmers by producing and promoting a range of yuzu-based products—from refreshing beverages to seasonings and, of course, the renowned Umaji Yuzushu.

The yuzu grown in Umaji is celebrated for its strong aroma and high acidity—perfect for crafting flavorful liqueurs. Cultivated using traditional methods in harmony with nature, Umaji yuzu represents the dedication and care of the people who call this remote village home.
